“First class, would recommend this to anyone stopping over in BA.Tour lasted nearly 7hrs and covered everything. Only problem, everyone on the tour(3 couples) assumed that we would finish the tour at the same place it started,WRONG! We were left in an old part of BA and told go out of the building turn left and your hotel is in that direction. 30 minutes later with aid of a map we made it back, but don't let this put you off.”

Review of the Colonia day trip from Buenos Aires, including ferry timing, guided sightseeing, free time, transfers, costs, and practical booking advice.

“This is the worst tour I have ever been on, if you can even call it a tour, which is such a shame as Colonia seemed lovely! We got off the ferry and it was very disorganised. Eventually we were put on a bus which is pointless as it is no more than a 5 mins drive but we had to sit on it for almost 30mins. There was a lot of confusion with how the tour would work and whether it was a walking tour or a bus tour. The walking tour offered no interesting information on the place or history of Colonia and we didn't even go into…”

“Overall a good trip: good guide, all arrangements went well.. However, we did not get in advance when we were to be picked up from our hotel.. The local number could not be accessed from the USA. I called Viator and got the info from them. I then had the concierge at our hotel reconfirm and only then found out our airline and flight from Buenos Aires to Iguazu. It was a good thing we did this in that our pick up driver did not have the flight info.”

“We booked our 7-hour private tour of Tigre from our hotel in Buenos Aires through Viator and couldn’t have been happier with the experience. A few days before the tour, Tracy introduced herself via WhatsApp and immediately made us feel welcome and encouraged us to share any special interests so the tour could be personalized. She followed up the day before and again the morning of the tour to reconfirm everything, which was very appreciated. Tracy and our driver Renzo arrived right on time and instantly made us feel relaxed and in good hands. As we drove out of the city, Tracy was a wealth of knowledge, asking thoughtful questions…”

“The tour was amazing. I had some difficulty checking with the airline. Otherwise, the day went smoothly. The views were beyond beautiful and I will remember the day for a lifetime. My guide was experienced and knowledgeable. She shared many details on the wildlife, foliage, history, and people. By having a personal guide, I could go through the park at a comfortable pace, not worrying about holding others up if I wanted to take a break. The airfare made the trip pricey, but it was worth it.”

“Trip of a lifetime - truly one of the world’s natural wonders. I was concerned that this might not work having been told repeatedly that it “ was non refundable no matter the cause” and I’m traveling in an unknown country. It was perfect from start to finish. It is a long day but totally worth it. Don’t forget sunscreen, umbrella ( it is sub tropic) and could rain or you can use to shade the sun, and water. Food choices are limited but certainly adequate. Our guide, Gaseon, was amazing. He can go fast or slow depending on your preference. I can’t stress enough that this day while long…”

“The Iguazu Falls were spectacular! The whole day went so smoothly from the pick up at our hotel at 5 am in the morning until the drop off at about 8.30 om. Our guide at the falls, Matteus, was fantastic. He made our trip so interesting and made sure we had lots of time to take photos. He also pointed out wildlife and flowers along the way, which we would not have seen on our own. A brilliant guide!”

Trade Buenos Aires for a gaucho day at Don Silvano Ranch, with horseback riding, barbecue, wine, folk music, and pampas views.

“Had such a great time. A nice break from Buenos Aires. Learned a ton about Gaucho culture as well as Argentine traditions. The tour guide who took us there was so knowledgeable and friendly. Don Silvano kept feeding us and the food was delicious (especially the empanadas). The horse ride was so calming. Our guide at the ranch, Pablo was entertaining and so hospitable, as well as teaching us all things Gaucho and how to make a mate. The day wasn’t fast paced but a lot was crammed in. The lunch was never ending food and drink (wine). The music and dance show was excellent (they also make you dance).…”
